Amanda Stuecher, CCIFP Accounting Manager
Baron Malow Company

Amanda has seven years of experience in the industry at Barton Malow Company. She is responsible for the preparation of the monthly financial statements, consolidation of the corporate forecast, analysis of budget performance reports, management and coordination of the annual business planning process, oversight of a defined contribution plan, financial planning and analysis, and various initiatives within the finance department. She has her Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Grand Valley State University and her Master’s in Accounting from Oakland University. Amanda has been a member of CFMA since 2011 and received the CCIFP designation in 2015.

Jeffrey D. Myslinski, CPA William Molnar Roofing Co., Inc.                    

Jeff is responsible for Work In Process reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, risk management, strategic planning and project financial oversight for W.M Molnar Roofing Co., Inc. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from University of Michigan Dearborn and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Wayne State University. Jeff has 8 Years of Public Accounting experience with Michigan based CPA Firms, specializing in Forensic Accounting, Construction and Real Estate. Jeff has project management experience and enjoys spending time working in the field. He serves as a trustee for the ABC Workers Compensation Fund. Jeff is married with two children. He enjoys playing golf and hockey in his spare time.

Ben Osborne, CRIS

Ben has been involved in the insurance industry for the last 11 years as a commercial lines producer and business owner for almost 7 years before coming to Brooks insurance now USI Insurance services in 2015. He is part of the construction division at USI Toledo and has been focused on construction industry clients his entire career. He has a proven track record of putting the clients first and takes pride in saying that he has retained his first ever construction client when his career began to this day.

Active in the community, Ben has served as a board member of the Bedford Business Association and is a Leadership Monroe Alumni. He was also a sponsor and organizer for the No Texting & Driving Campaign for Monroe County High Schools. In 2015 he was nominated to the Top 20 under 40 in the Northwest Ohio/Southeast Michigan Region. He holds his CRIS (Construction Risk Insurance Specialist) designation and the CyRM(Cyber Risk Manger) designation. He also currently serves on the board for Pheasants Forever Monroe County.

Ben grew up in Monroe County, MI and currently resides there with his wife Gina and daughter Arlie. He is a graduate of Western Michigan University –Haworth College of Business. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, golf, hunting, and fishing.

Chris Greene Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Chris Greene provides the financial insight and direction critical to managing the Continuum Services business. With over 16 years of accounting experience, Chris' financial management expertise, enhanced by his professionalism, provides the cornerstone for Continuum's success on a daily basis. His strong leadership skills promote a unified team that operates with the highest level of accuracy and integrity.

Chris has a Master of Business Administration from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting information systems from Eastern Michigan University. Chris currently serves on the board of the Construction Financial Management Association of Metro Detroit (CFMA) and is a member of Building Owners & Managers Association of Detroit (BOMA) and Detroit Area Construction Association (DACA).

Cynthia Nelson-Walters (Cindy Walters) Great Lakes Water Authority

Cindy has over twenty-five years’ experience working as an accountant in the commercial-construction industry in Southeast Michigan with a focus on Work in Progress schedules and reporting functions. She has a Michigan Residential Builders License and is active in her personal live with real estate investment holdings and flipping houses. Cindy is a member of the CFMA National Heavy Highway Sub-Committee since 2011 and was a past vice chair of the sub-committee. As part of her role on the CFMA Heavy Highway sub-committee she has written articles for CFMA’s “Talking Heavy” publication.

In her spare time, Cindy enjoys working in her perennial garden and walking her dogs on the farm where she lives in a rural area on the west side of the metro area. She is also a member of the Scarab Club and enjoys cultural activities in the Detroit area.

Andrew J. Emmert, CPA Chief Financial Officer/Vice President

Andy Emmert, CPA has more than 30 years of accounting experience. As Chief Financial Officer, Andy is responsible for all corporate and project financial accounting and finance functions, budgeting, project financial training, corporate banking relationships, corporate insurance, and all accounting and tax functions. He also serves as a strategic partner with SME’s leadership team and as Group Leader for the Information Systems Team. Andy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from University of Detroit Mercy.

Joining SME in 2002, Andy establishes corporate banking relationships to negotiate lines of credit and loan covenants, as well as prepares and presents documentation to lending institutions to support increased line of credit availability and improved terms and conditions. Andy’s responsibilities also include evaluating the viability of major corporate purchases (including mergers and acquisitions) and their impact on operations and economic payback period. He is at his best solving financial problems; he enjoys the challenge of developing and improving systems and procedures related to finances that are repeatable and that create efficiencies. Andy is well known in the industry as a reliable and hard-working financial professional, which has paved the way for advancements in his career. While Andy is proud of receiving the SME President’s Award for Excellence in 2012, he is proudest of being selected to the SME Board of Directors in 2011.

Andy is active in many professional organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA); the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA); the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA); the Detroit Area Construction Association (DACA); and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) where he serves on the Finance Committee. He also served as a past Board Director member of Habitat for Humanity, and is active in the Knights of Columbus where he has held numerous leadership positions.

Away from the office, Andy enjoys spending time with his wife, Kim and visiting their two children, Jennifer and Christopher in San Jose and Chicago. He also enjoys maintaining his well-manicured yard and working on do-it-yourself home improvement projects. An avid sports enthusiast, he enjoys fishing, golfing and playing hockey, as well as watching almost any televised sporting event.

Kurt A. Siebenaller, CPA Principal

Kurt is an active member of the Tax Department and the firm's National Construction Practice. He has extensive knowledge with tax compliance issues, federal, state and local tax planning, business forecasts and projections, and business planning and preparation for startup distressed companies. Kurt helps clients develop and implement strategies for improving operating efficiencies and identifying growth opportunities to align with their goals. He understands the proper structure of clients’ GAAP financial statements, helping to enable them in obtaining financing, bonding, or additional capital. Kurt specializes in year-end tax planning strategies for corporations and individuals.

Thomas Plagens CFO
Fairview Construction

Thomas J. Plagens is the CFO of Fairview Construction Services, LLC and has more than 20 years of experience in various industries including commercial construction, banking, commercial real estate, and public accounting. Most recently Tom spent the past 12 years as the CFO for a commercial general contractor in the Metro Detroit area before starting with Fairview Construction. Tom’s expertise includes a broad range of skills in accounting, finance, legal, human resources, tax, audit, and information technology. As Chief Financial Officer, Tom not only provides trusted information to the executive leadership team at Fairview, but also to the stakeholders in each construction project.

Jason Vissotski Corporate Analyst

Jason has been with Barton Malow Company for three years and is responsible for the monthly overhead budget performance review, overhead forecasting and consolidation, the annual business planning process, annual personal property tax filings, and providing assistance to external auditors to help publish audited financial statements. Before working at Barton Malow Jason received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Western Michigan University. In his free time Jason enjoys golfing, playing softball, and cheering on his favorite Detroit sports teams.
